Abstract

The purpose of this study is 1) Describe the form of deixis contained in the editorial in the Solopos newspaper 2) Describe the distribution of deixis in the editorial in the Solopos newspaper 3) Describe the implementation of deixis in Indonesian language teaching materials. This research method uses descriptive qualitative research. The object of this research is the use of the form of deixis contained in the editorial in the Solopos newspaper. Data collection techniques in this research are listening and note taking techniques. The technique of listening is to look at the editorials contained in the Solopos newspaper. and Noting technique, namely recording data containing deixis form contained in the editorial in the Solopos newspaper. The data analysis technique used by researchers uses the method of distribution using theory triangulation. Based on the results of the study found the form of the use of deixis in the form of dexis outside-speech (exophora) and deixis in-speech (endophora). Extra-speech dexis (exophora) includes 16 person deixis, 24 space deixis (places) and 6 time deixis. While in-speech deixis (exophora) includes anaphora 7 and 8 wordfora deixis. Distribution of deixis usage in editorial in Solopos newspaper. located at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of the sentence. The distribution of deixis at the beginning and at the end is only partially found, and this deixis is more located in the middle of the sentence, whereas for deixis which is at the beginning and at the end only a part is found.
