Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze: (1) The effect of the implementation of Inquiry Learning model based on Numbered Heads Together and Group Investigation on mathematics learning outcomes, (2) The effect of students' mathematical communication skills on mathematics learning outcomes, (3) The interaction of learning models with communication mathematical students towards mathematics learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII MTs Al Islam Jamsaren in the academic year 2019/2020. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The sampling technique in this study uses cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques in this study using the test method, questionnaire, and documentation. Data analysis technique used two ways analysis of variance test with unequal cells. The results of data analysis with a significance level of 5%, namely: (1) There is an influence of inquiry learning model based on numbered heads together and group investigation on mathematics learning outcomes, with FA = 9.19 (2) There is an influence of mathematical communication ability on mathematics learning outcomes with FB = 233.26 (3) There is no interaction between the learning model with students' mathematical communication with mathematics learning outcomes, with FAB = 0.22.
