Abstract

In this modern era recreation becomes an important element for human life. This recreational activity aims to relieve boredom from daily routines. Recreation also has a positive impact on human life because it can cause feelings of pleasure and relieve stress. Recreational park is one alternative tourism to relieve fatigue from daily routine. The choice of recreational places is even more diverse and interesting. Along with the rise of issues about environmental sustainability and the high human need for green open space that is creative, recreational areas related to nature are increasingly appearing. Development of swamp and coastal areas is now increasingly symptomatic in big cities, so there is a concern that one day it will cause negative impacts such as flooding for example. The coastal area is an area that should be enjoyed by all levels of society. In other words, the coastal area is a public space area for the people of a city. Development and development of coastal areas must refer to a sustainable development plan of the coastal area by taking into account the physical carrying capacity of coastal ecosystems, as well as paying attention to their impacts. The development process will be closely related to environmental aspects, both the natural physical environment and the dynamic socio- cultural environment. These waters have the potential to be developed as a coastal area for recreation given its very strategic position. On one side of the marina beach area is one of the destinations of international tourist attractions and on the other hand as a coastal area that has characteristics as a waterfront area that has the potential to be developed as an entertainment area with a variety of supporting activities. In addition, in this coastal area every year there are music festival events, film festivals, culinary festivals, art festivals and other events. This is a very appropriate moment as a tourist attraction in the city of Semarang as well as a tourism promotion site in the eyes of the wider community and even the international community.
