Abstract

Abstracts Arranging an environment of a region will create a distinct impression for every observer. Planning and designing Batik Basurek Village of Anggut Atas Urban Village, Ratu Samban sub- district of Bengkulu City can make Batik Basurek Village be a part of Bengkulu City tourism corridor. The tourism resources possessed by Bengkulu Province are quite potential to be developed, but there is a lack of processing and awareness to improve tourism and culture of Bengkulu people. The effort to introduce Bengkulu’s Batik Basurek in case to be widely known has been carried out with the promotion of both regional activities and national events. Doing this effort is not easy because it requires massive promotion and support of many parties, such as society, community, and government. Arranging and designing Batik Basurek Village are the first step to preserving the existence of Batik Basurek so that its authenticity and uniqueness will be maintained and will remain sustainable. The structuring of the Batik Basurek Village has tremendous potential in the field of tourism and culture, but this potential has not been developed yet, so the arranging of Anggut Atas Urban Village as a Batik Basurek Village becomes a breakthrough to facilitate and introduce Batik Basurek as one of the tourism icons of Bengkulu City.
