Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of adversity quotient and social support with entrepreneurial intentions on students. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a very significant positive relationship between adversity quotient with entrepreneurial intentions in students at the Faculty of Psychology, Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta, there is a very significant positive relationship between social support and entrepreneurial intentions on students at the Faculty of Psychology, Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta. The population in this study were active students in the second to eighth semester of the Faculty of Psychology, Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta. Researchers took 132 respondents. The sample uses a random sampling technique. This research method is quantitative. The data collection of this study is that the subjects filled out the entrepreneurship intention scale questionnaire with reliability α = 0.869, adversity quotient scale α = 0.920 and support scale α = 0.933. Data analysis techniques using the Spearman Rho Correlation. The results of the analysis for Adversity quotient with entrepreneurial intentions of Sig (2-tailed) 0,000 <0.01 with a correlation coefficient of 0.361, meaning that there is a very significant positive relationship between the variable adversity quotient with entrepreneurial intentions, then social support with entrepreneurial intentions with Sig (2-tailed) 0.004 <0.01 with a correlation coefficient of 0.248, meaning that there is a very significant positive relationship between social support variables and entrepreneurial intentions. From the interpretation of the results above it can be concluded that Ho in Reject and Ha researchers accepted. The effective contribution of adversity quotient to entrepreneurial intentions was 11.9%, and social support contributed 8.6% to entrepreneurial intentions, the remaining 79.5% was influenced by other variables such as personal characteristics, family environment, socioeconomic environment, environmental support , Creativity, self efficacy, demographic factors, access to capital, information, etc.
