Abstract
Abtract The purpose of this study is to describe hardiness (hardiness personality) in career women. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, in which data collection is done by semi-structured interviews with 6 career women who have jobs and have an optimistic and confident attitude. Informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the study revealed that career women have hardiness which is characterized by a commitment to continue to play a dual role in the midst of carrying out their duties as a housewife and can control unexpected situations such as roles that must be performed simultaneously. Women who have good hardiness will deal with problems in a positive way, such as motivating themselves, living with sincerity, and more enthusiastic again different from women who lack hardiness they would prefer to be quiet then angry, crying, and buried themselves. Factors that influence hardiness in career women are economic factors, experience, work environment, responsibilities, and want to please others. Keywords: Hardiness, Career, Women
