Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of income, the number of family members, the distance of the house and the cost of electricity to the consumption of clean water in Surakarta City PDAM. The dependent variable is water consumption, while the independent variables include income, number of family members, distance to the house and electricity costs. The samples used in this study were 56 customers of PDAM Surakarta City. The data of this study were obtained with primary data, this study uses the propotional random sampling test method and multiple linear regression analysis of the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The results of the analysis are: (1) The results of normality test data calculations with the Jarque Bera model are normally distributed; (2) Linearity test results with the Ramsey Reset model show that the model is linear; (3) The results of the classical assumption test show that there is no multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity; (4) T test results can be seen that the variable income and electricity costs have an effect and are significant, while the variable number of family members and the distance of the house have no significant effect; (5) F test results indicate the model used exists; (6) R2 gets a value of 26.32% which means that 26.32% of the variation in the level of clean water consumption in PDAM Surakarta City can be explained by income variables, the number of family members, the distance to the house and the cost of electricity. While the remaining 73.68% is explained by other independent variables or other factors not included in the model.
