Abstract
Internalization of soft skills values in the teaching learning requires learning models that are in accordance with the values developed. Purpose of this study was to study the differences in accounting soft skills competency of the students viewed from perceptions about the Problem Based Learning (PBL) and achievement motivation. Type of this research is quantitative research that draws conclusions based on the results of statistical analysis. Population was all students of class XI SMK Batik 1 Surakarta in 2019/2020 academic year consisting of 3 classes. Sample was taken were one class with cluster sampling technique. Collecting data used a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used two-way analysis of variance (anova). Results of the study: (1) There was a differences in accounting soft skill competence viewed from students' perceptions of the PBL. Students with good perception about PBL get higher score average than good enough or bad perceptions; (2) There are differences in accounting soft skills competence of viewed from variations in achievement motivation. Students with high achievement motivation get higher score average higher than students with moderate or low motivation; (3) There are differences in accounting soft skills competence viewed from the interaction between students' perceptions of PBL and achievement motivation. Students with good perceptions about PBL and high achievement motivation get higher scor average than students with poor perceptions about PBL low achievement motivation.
