Abstract

This study is to explain: 1) The effect of teacher family harmony on teacher career development. 2) Effect of work performance on teacher career development. 3) The effect of teacher family harmony and work performance on teacher career development. This type of research is quantitative with census design. The population in this study were all teachers of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Klaten Utara, amounting to 48 people. Data obtained through a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques are multiple linear regression analysis, t test, F test, and relative and effective contributions. The results of the regression analysis obtained the regression line equation: Y = 1,848 + 0,462X1 + 0,334X2. The equation shows that 1) The harmony of the teacher's family towards the teacher's career development can be accepted which can be seen from tcount> ttable, 3,408> 2,021 and the significance of 0.001 with a relative contribution of 61% and an effective contribution of 21.4%. 2) Work performance on teacher career development can be accepted. which can be seen from tcount> t table, which is 2.551> 2.021 and the significance of 0.014 with a relative contribution of 39% and an effective contribution of 13.7%. 3) The harmony of the teacher's family and work performance towards teacher career development can be accepted which can be seen from Fcount> Ftable, which is 12.183> 3.230 and the significance of 0.000. 4) The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.351 indicates that the influence of teacher family harmony and work performance on teacher career development is 35.1%, while the rest is influenced by other variables.
