Abstract
This study discusses (1) describing the sociohistorical background of the author of the novel Luka Perempuan Asap; (2) arrange the structure that builds the novel Luka Perempuan Asap by Nafi'ah al-Ma'rab; (3) describe the relationship between humans and the natural environment in the novel Luka Wanita Asap by Nafi'ah al-Ma'rab; and (4) describe the relevance of the research results of the novel Luka Perempuan Asap by Nafi'ah al-Ma'rab on literary learning in high school. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this research consists of words, phrases, sentences, paragraphs and discourse that are read with ecocritics and relations between humans and nature in the novel Luka Wanita Asap by Nafi'ah al-Ma'rab. The primary data source of this research is the novel Luka Wanita Asap by Nafi'ah al-Ma'rab. The secondary research data source is references that are closely related to primary data. Data collection in this study uses library techniques. The data analysis technique used in this study is the method of reading semiotic models, namely heuristic and hermeneutic readings. The results of this study show that (1) Nafi'ah al-Ma'rab, whose real name is Sugiarti, works as a ghost writer, actively writes short stories, poems, and essays, is appointed as chairman of the Riau Regional Pen Ring Forum, and her work changes religious values; (2) there is a cohesiveness among the elements of the builder of the novel Luka Wanita Asap by Nafi'ah Al-Ma'rab with the theme of the environment and the facts of the facts included, the main character appointed by Mun, and who has an advanced plot, set in Riau Province in the year 2012 with a social screen as an oil palm farmer; (3) human relations with the natural environment in the novel Luka Perempuan Asap by Nafi'ah Al-Ma'rab shows the relationship between humans who use nature to meet their physiological needs by exploiting forests Damage emergency and drought, damage to the earth; (4) the research results of the novel Luka Perempuan Asap by Nafi'ah Al-Ma'rab can be relevant with literary learning in high school class XII, namely KD 3.8 Interpreting the author's views about life in the novel being read, and KD 4.8 Men accepting the results of interpretations of the views the author based both orally and in writing, according to the criteria for teaching materials review aspects of language, psychology and socio-cultural background.
