Abstract
Children under two years old are children who are experiencing a very rapid growth process. One of Baduta nutrition problems is stunting. Factors affecting nutritional status are protein intake, iron intake and zinc intake. Animal foods contain better nutrients than plant foods, such as protein, iron and zinc because they are more easily absorbed by the body. Baduta stunting prevalence in Prambanan Health Center is 29%. This figure is still above the 2015-2019 RPJMN target of 28%. This study aimed to analyze the differences in the intake of protein, iron and zinc from animal food between stunting and non-stunting in the Prambanan Health Center in Klaten. This study was observational with cross sectional design. Samplings were taken using simple random sampling with a total 90 children under two years. Data on protein, iron and zinc intake were analyzed using the Questional Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency and nutritional status data by measuring the height of a two year old child. The statistical test used was Independent sample T-test for protein and zinc intake and the Mann Whitney Test for iron intake. The average intake of animal food protein in baduta stunting was 6.6 grams and the average intake of animal protein in baduta non stunting was 9.0 grams. The average intake of animal food iron in baduta stunting was 2 mg and the average intake of animal food in baduta non stunting was 1.7 mg. The average intake of animal food zinc in baduta stunting was 0.9 mg and the average intake of animal food zinc in baduta non stunting was 1.3 mg. The results of the analysis of different tests of protein intake p=0.000, iron p=0.000 and zinc p=0.003 in stunting and non-stunting. There was a difference in the intake of protein, iron and zinc from animal foods between stunting and non-stunting in the Prambanan Health Center of Klaten. Keywords : children under two years, protein intake, iron intake, zinc intake, animal food, stunting
