Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Identify the forms of imperative speech acts of class VII Indonesian language teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen, (2) To describe the types of imperative speech acts of Indonesian class VII teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen, (3) Analyze the pragmatic politeness in the imperative speech acts of the seventh grade Indonesian language teacher at Muhammadiyah 1 Middle School Sragen. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. The data in this study are oral language data in the form of speech that shows the imperative speech acts in the teaching and learning process of class VII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen. Data sources from this study were three Indonesian language teachers while teaching. The data is collected by the record technique and the note taking technique. The data validity technique is used theory triangulation. The analysis technique of this research is interactive analysis. The results of this study are as follows. (1) The form of imperative speech acts of VII grade Indonesian language teachers in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen includes the ordinary imperative, the demand imperative, the permit giving imperative, the invitation imperative and the order imperative. (2) Types of imperative speech acts of VII grade Indonesian language teachers in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen in the form of direct speech acts, types of indirect speech acts, types of literal speech acts, and types of non-literal speech acts. (3) Pragmatic politeness in the imperative speech acts of Grade VII Indonesian language teachers in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen in the form of wisdom maxim, generosity maxim, praise maxim, and agreement maxim.
