Abstract
Abstract The purpose of this study is to understand and describe the dynamics of empathy in new employees who are addicted to gadgets, through forms of empathy, factors that influence empathy and benefits after empathy. The research method used is qualitative phenomenology whose data is collected through interviews and observations. Data obtained from 5 informants with criteria for new employees who are addicted to gadgets aged 21-22 years, using open questionnaires. The results of the study show forms of empathy, namely expressing feelings felt, expressing condolences, showing a caring attitude, caring directly, feeling what is felt, paying more attention and respecting strangers, and the subject's response when he saw a subject's friend fall unconsciously on purpose. Factors that influence empathy are directly feeling, seeing firsthand, fellow human beings care for one another, inappropriate if through gadgets, fellow humans must care for each other, care through gadgets doubtful, close to friends, appear a sense of wanting to help and care, more with people who are not known, appreciated, because real events, and funny. The benefits of empathy by new employees who are addicted to gadgets are happy, foster compassion, relief, reduce, help and alleviate sadness, make life happier, be the subject of conversation, and know the truth.
