Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the use of Picture and Picture Strategies using Smart Dice Media aimed at improving the learning outcomes of mathematics subjects in grade II students of SD Negeri Karangasem III. This type of quantitative research with the design of Quasy Experimental Design in the form of Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The media used in the form of two boxes resembling dice are collaborated with the picture and picture strategy. The study was conducted with a total of 32 students divided into two groups of 16 each. Simple random sampling technique that is done randomly using a lottery. One control group was given no action and one experimental group was given action. T test results are independent samples test for the effect of X on Y is 0.001 <0.05 shows Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, there is an influence of X with Y. It can be stated that there is an influence on the application of pap strategy using smart dice media to improve mathematics learning outcomes. Whereas to test the effectiveness of using a pap strategy using smart dice media the N-Gain score test was obtained, the results obtained an n-gain score of 0.58 or 58%, which means it was included in the range of 30 <n-gain <70 and the score was included in the category moderate or level of effectiveness of pap strategies using smart dice media when learning in the experimental class has a moderate effect.
