Abstract
The purpose of this study was to test: (1) The effect of the Problem Based Learning and Talking Stick learning model on mathematics learning outcomes. (2) The effect of student learning activeness on mathematics learning outcomes. (3) The interaction between the Problem Based Learning and Talking Stick learning models with student activeness towards mathematics learning outcomes. This research was conducted in SMP 6 Muhammadiyah Surakarta in class VII even semester of the 2018/2019 school year. This type of research is quantitative with quasi-experimental. Samples were taken in 2 classes with cluster random sampling techniques. The data collection method uses tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses two path variance analysis with unequal cells. Further testing uses the Scheffe method '. Based on the results of the analysis with a significance level of 5%, it can be concluded that: (1) there is an influence between the Problem Based Learning and Talking Stick learning models on mathematics learning outcomes. The mathematics learning outcomes using the Talking Stick learning model are better than the Problem Based Learning learning model (2 ) there is an effect of student learning activeness on learning outcomes. Mathematical learning outcomes of students with a high level of activeness have no difference with students of moderate level of activity. However, students with a high level of activeness and the learning outcomes of mathematics are better than students with a low level of activity. (3) there is no interaction between the learning model Problem Based Learning, Talking Stick and student learning activeness towards learning outcomes in mathematics
