Abstract
Anis Telastanti. Q100170015. Strategies for Strengthening Humane Characters in Javanese Language Learning at SD Muhammadiyah Special Program Surakarta. Thesis. Education Management. Postgraduate Program of Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta. 2019. This study aims to describe: 1) planning to strengthen the humanist character, 2) the implementation of strengthening the humanist character, and 3) evaluation of strengthening the humanist character in learning Javanese. The type of research used is qualitative research. The research design used is ethnographic design. Data collection techniques are done by in-depth interview techniques, observation, and document analysis. The data validity technique is performed using a credibility test that is technical triangulation and source triangulation. Data analysis techniques were performed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of the study show that: 1) planning to strengthen the humanist character, including the formulation of a strengthening program in the form of a superior program draft by the team of principals and vice-principal, the socialization of the program to the guardians of students as well as the preparation of RPPs and the Javanese syllabus by inserting humanist character values in core activities, 2) the implementation of strengthening the humanist character include Javanese language habituation in daily communication by students and teachers, the purpose of Javanese habituation to strengthen the character of courtesy, the factors that support the strengthening of the humanist character are the exemplary teachers and other education personnel, good communication schools with student guardians, and adequate facilities, the inhibiting factors are the use of gadgets that are not directed and the lack of synchronization of habituation at school and at home. 3) evaluation of results is done through general discussion and observation by Javanese language teachers.
