Abstract
Menstruation is a precondition that mark the beginning of maturation of the reproductive organs in female adolescents. When menstruation usually a woman whose name is synonymous with menstrual pain (dysmenorrhoea). Dysmenorrhoea itself occurred because of the endometrium in a phase of excessive secretion of producing prostaglandins (PGF-2α) causing hypertonus and vasoconstriction in the myometrium and causing ischemia. Dysmenorrhea is divided into two, namely primary (no gynecological disorder) and secondary (there is a gynecological disorder). One cause of dysmenorrhea itself occurs due to improper lifestyle such as lack of exercise, one type of exercise is good for reducing dysmenorrhea namely gymnastics, yoga, because yoga exercises and core stability concentrating on pelvic floor muscle exercises that which can help to reduce the incidence of menstrual pain. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of yoga exercises to decrease menstrual pain (dysmenorrhoea) on the students. This study is included in a cross sectional study in which the dependent variables (risk factors) and the variable effects of (independent) assessed and measured simulkan (simultaneously) at a time, so there was no follow-up (follow-up) (Sastroasmoro & Ismael, 2018). Measure tool used in this study is the VAS (Visual Analogue Scale) to measure the level of pain experienced by respondents. The data collected was analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk test. The results showed the effect of yoga exercises to reduce menstrual pain (dysmenorrhoea) on the students.
