Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) Fighting in the Implementation of K13 for Improving Literacy Readings for high-class students at SD Negeri 1 Kebonbimo; 2) solutions in overcoming challenges to the implementation of K13 for strengthening reading literacy in high-class students at Kebonbimo 1 Public Elementary School. The type of research in this study uses descriptive qualitative research. The technique of collecting data is done through interviews, and is supported by the collection of license agreements. The validity of the data uses source and methode triangulation. Data analysis techniques are carried out starting from interactive models by reducing, displaying data, and verifying / concluding. The results of the study show that: 1) coordination that supports the Kebonbimo Elementary School 1 in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum for strengthening reading literacy in students is the low reading culture in children and the teacher does not provide examples of reading habits. Efforts made in overcoming the implementation of K13 for strengthening reading literacy in high school students at Kebonbimo Elementary School 1 support the improvement of facilities and infrastructure to support reading literacy which contains a library 2 with a variety of books equipped with students who are interested in reading new books every day and sharing reading material with colleagues.
