Abstract

This class action research has the objective to find out the increase in concentration and activity in social studies learning of royal material in Class VA at MI Muhammadiyah Gonilan. This type of research is a Classroom Action Research with Mind Mapping method. This research was conducted for 2 cycles with the stages of action planning, action implementation, observations and reflections. After the research was carried out it was proven that the Mind Mapping method could increase the concentration and activeness that influenced the learning outcomes of social studies in class V. In pre-cycle concentration of students by 21%, then increased to 56% in the first cycle, and increased again in the second cycle to 75% , for the activeness of students in pre-cycle only by 31% then in the first cycle increased to 49% and the peak in the second cycle increased to 75% it also affects the learning outcomes in the pre-cycle only 26% of students who passed the KKM, then increased to 60 % in the first cycle and the peak in the second cycle increased to 86% of students who passed the KKM. Thus it can be concluded that the Mind Mapping method can increase the activeness, concentration and student learning outcomes.
