Abstract
Background : Student self-concept is one of the factors that causes students to become anxious when doing OSCA. OSCA has a positive impact on confidence, skills, mastery of good material for students. However, OSCA also provides responses that can affect students psychologically when they have to face the OSCA exam speaking in front of the probandus with supervised examiners who will provide a direct assessment that can make students feel anxious. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and nursing student anxiety during OSCA. Method: Quantitative research on Cross Sectional approach. The study was conducted at the Mini Hospital Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta with a sample of 57 nursing students in semester 4, sampling with a simple random sampling. Data collection using ASCS and STAI questionnaires which were further analyzed by the Pearson test. Results: Obtained p-value of 0.001 ˂ p= 0.05 with value of R= 0,463which means there is a positive relationship between self-concept and anxiety of nursing students during OSCA. Conclusion: The higher student's self-concept, the higher anxiety of nursing students at OSCA.
