Abstract
This study was aims at describing (1) the implementation of project-based learning models in learning to write exposition text in class X IPA 4 of SMAN 1 Nguter and (2) the effectiveness of project-based learning models in learning to write exposition text in class X IPA 4 of SMAN 1 Nguter. Data were analyzed by qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques. The results showed (1) the application of a project-based learning model to class X IPA 4 students of SMAN 1 Nguter was classified as good and successfully seen from student learning outcomes and successful implementation in accordance with the steps that have been determined. (2) The effectiveness of the project-based learning model has been classified as effective in learning to write exposition text. This is caused by student learning outcomes that show better results than the controller class and also student responses which indicate that the project-based learning model is good and successfully used in learning exposition text writing.
