Abstract
Anggit Mutiara Putri/A520150003. IMPROVING UNDERSTANDING OF BALANCED NUTRITION FOR CHILDREN THROUGH FOOD CREATION ACTIVITIES IN GROUP B DHARMA WANITA KINDERGARTEN GONDANGREJO KARANGANYAR. Essay. Teacher Training and Education faculty, Muhammadiyah University Surakarta.Mei 2019. The study aims at improving children’s understanding of nutritional balance trough food creations. The subjects of this study are the students of group B Dharma Wanita kindergarten academic year of 2018/2019. The type of research is classroom action research (CAR) which was conducted in two cycles with four meetings. There are several stages of research procedure in every cycle, they are planning, implementation, observation and refletion. The data are obtained through observation and documentation methods. The result obtained was at 42.031%, then it went up to 64.063% in cycle I and went higher to 82.968% in cycle II. This study concludes that food creation activities are able to improve children’s understanding of nutritional balance.
