Abstract

The interest in entrepreneurship is a greater interest in entrepreneurship or the world of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is one way to meet one's economic needs. One of the factors that influence the interest in entrepreneurship is self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is a belief in the ability possessed to achieve the desired goal, in this case is success in entrepreneurship. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and entrepreneurship interest in civil servants (PNS). The research hypothesis proposed is that there is a positive relationship between self-efficacy and interest in entrepreneurship in civil servants (PNS). The method used in this research is quantitative correlation. The subject of the study was taken by incidental purposive quota sampling technique, by determining certain criteria as a requirement to be the subject or respondent of the study. In the study respondents numbered 50 people. Analysis using product moment correlation techniques, and the results obtained are very significant relationship between self-efficacy and interest in entrepreneurship in civil servants (PNS), which is seen from the data analysis which shows the results of the correlation r = 0.640 and p = 0.000 (p ≤0.01). The level of self-efficacy and interest in civil servant entrepreneurship in the Surakarta residency is high. The amount of self-efficacy contribution affects the interest in entrepreneurship by 40.96%.
