Abstract
The purpose of this study is : 1.) To descibe to the description of slow learner, 2.) To describe the role of teacher in giving the slow student learning guidance service in the science center. 3.) To describe the obstacle the teacher faced in serving and guilding the slow learner, and 4.) To describe the solution could the third class teacher in serving and guilding a slow learner at MIM PK Wirogunan. To achieve the above goal, a qualitative research approach with a description research method. The research subject includes a the principal, a class teacher, student of the slow learner and slow learner. The data collection techniques used are observasition, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction and presentation of data.Test validity data's using test triangulations of the source and methods triangulated. The nature of the slow learner child is more apt to be slower in listening, as well as in paying attention to the lesson, slow learner’s child is less capable in socializing with friends, having difficulty understanding the material and needing help in accomplishing tasks. This study shows that the teacher’s role is : (1) the class manager is always position the child's slow learning in the most of the future, teacher made a grammar in the class in order for the descipline and the responsibility of a slow learner, (2) of a teenager was to provide an out for the slow learner in solving the matter, the teacher gave the learning media like pictures and real media.(3) the facilitator is teacher invited the slow learner child doing the learning activities outside the classroom, (4) a guide is the teacher guiding the slow learner child when writing, reading, rote and arithmetic. (5) the motivator is slow learner childern daring to come to the front of the class, the teacher gave credit to both the success and failure of the slow learner child, (6) the evaluator is the class teacher do the learning evaluation by asking learners to exchange and correct the friends answer, the slow learners child assessment it's done by giving problems or continuous duties. The teacher’s obstacle was the was the lack of concertration and attention of a slow learner child, absorbed n the inner circles with an object in the neightborhood like a pen, pencils and stuff. The teacher’s solution is performing a companion technique and giving special attention when learning is underway.
