Abstract

This study aims to analyze and determine the effect of liquidity, dividend payout ratio, and investment opportunity on price earnings ratio in manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2017. The population of this study is a consumer goods manufacturing sector manufacturing company totaling 47 companies. Sampling was done using purposive sampling technique so that 13 samples of manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry sector were obtained. The method of data collection used is non-participant observation. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange through the official website www.idx.co.id. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with the SPSS application. Based on the results of the analysis show that liquidity has a positive and not significant effect on price earnings ratio, dividend payout ratio has a negative and significant effect on price earnings ratio, and investment opportunity has a positive and significant effect on price earnings ratio in consumer goods manufacturing sector companies listed on the Exchange Indonesian Securities.
