Abstract

Background: Heart failure is a physiological condition when the heart cannot pump blood enough to compensate for the body metabolic needs. Physical activity has a role in the success of treatment and has a significant impact on improving symptoms of heart failure. The purpose: of this research is to know a picture of physical activity on the patient heart failure at the heart clinics RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. The methodology: Descriptive kind of research with delightful cross sectional quantitative research to find out a picture of physical activity in the heart patients heart failure polyclinic hospital Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. The sample was a patient heart failure out patient 85 which consisted of people. Sample mining techniques to this research using a technique accidental sampling. An instrument for measuring variable using a IPAQ Questionnaire (International Physical Activity Quesionnaire). Results: Physical activity level of research results show the majority of patients who were respondents is physical activity patients heart failure most were physical activity heavy category as much as 36 responden (42,2%), physical activity are light category as much as 27 respondent (31,7%) and physical activity categories are as much as 22 respondent (25,9%). The conclusion: Level of physical activity show the majority of patient who were respondents was a patient with a strenuous physical activity.
