Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the management of learning media using informatics technology to improve English vocabulary in SMP Negeri 6 Salatiga. This study also explains 1) How the preparation of learning media uses informatics technology to improve English vocabulary in SMP Negeri 6 Salatiga 2) How is the implementation of learning media using informatics technology to improve English vocabulary in SMP Negeri 6 Salatiga 3) How to evaluate learning media using technology informatics to improve English vocabulary in SMP Negeri 6 Salatiga. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The place of research in the SMP Negeri 6 Salatigaschool for research subjects is the principal, English teacher, sarpas section, curriculum waka. In data collection researchers used interviewing, observation, documentation techniques. This research analyzes data with the process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study showed 1) Preparation of learning media using informatics technology, namely inventorying media equipment used and evaluating media with English vocabulary material. 2) The implementation of learning media using information technology, namely the teacher displays vocabulary material that is packaged in the form of videos, images and song lyrics that are displayed on the projector screen and students identify English vocabulary 3) Evaluation of learning media using informatics technology, namely by observing student activity in the learning process , and how students identify English texts and see the results of student learning scores. This study shows an increase in the ability of students to understand English vocabulary material by using information technology media compared to not previously using information technology.
