Abstract

The causes of the high maternal mortality in Indonesia is affected by direct and indirect factors. Lack of knowledge of pregnant women about their risk factors in pregnancy may increase the risk of complications at the time of pregnancy or childbirth. Cause factor of risk if not immediately treated in the mother may threaten the safety of even the worst thing can happen that is the death of the mother and the baby. The efforts increased knowledge of the mother with the granting of health education about risk factors in pregnancy. This research aims to know the influence of health education with the methods of Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) about their risk factors in pregnancy to knowledge of pregnant women in the village of Singopuran sub-district of Kartasura. The method of this research is research pre experimental, quantitative analysis with pretest-posttest with no control group (one group pre and post test design). The sample of this research was 1-3 trimester of pregnant women. Sampling technique is the sample thoroughly. Logging using a questionnaire and analyzed using paired samples t-test test. The results showed an average knowledge of pregnant women before given health education with the methods of Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) is 64.76 and after given health education of 85.00 with significant value 0.000 or p 0.05, then is test decision Ho denied. Conclusion health education with the methods of Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) about their risk factors on pregnancy, influential in the development of knowledge of pregnant women.
