Abstract

This research is an experimental research which aims to determine the effectiveness of video media used in learning material for landslide disasters. This research is a quantitative research that uses experimental research methods. The design of this study was True Experimental Design which was carried out by giving pre-test and post-test. The analysis technique uses validity test, normality test, descriptive test, and hypothesis test using SPSS 22 software. Data shows the control class obtained an average value of pre test 58.07 and the average value of the post test is 82.00 while the pre experimental class the test obtained an average value of 51.11 and the post test average was 83.70. The conclusion of this study shows that the learning process using videos in the experimental class is more effective in improving student learning outcomes in landslide material compared to using lecture learning methods
