Abstract
Background: Musculoskeletal pain in the neck is a pain that includes nerve disorders, tendons, muscles, and ligaments around the neck. There is one massage technique, namely the technique of deep transfer friction which aims to maintain mobility in soft tissues, ligaments, tendons and muscles. Research Objectives: This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of deep transverse friction on decreasing neck pain in online motorcycle taxi drivers. Benefits of Research: Can determine whether there is an influence of deep transverse friction on decreasing neck pain in online motorcycle taxi drivers. Research Method: This type of research is a nonparametric study with two groups pre and post test design. The test used is the difference test with the Paired Sample T-test. The study sample was Pabelan motorcycle taxi drivers, Surakarta and was selected based on inclusion, exclusion and drop out criteria. Measurements used to measure the level of neck pain using neck disability index. Data analysis using Shapiro Wilks. Results: Statistical analysis showed that there was an effect of deep transverse friction on decreasing neck pain in online motorcycle taxi drivers. In the treatment group before being given a deep transverse friction intervention that experienced the same amount of pain and excessive pain, 5 people (50%). While after being given deep transverse friction which experienced a decrease in pain as many as 8 people (80%). In the control group before without being given a deep transverse friction intervention that experienced pain, 4 people (40%). Conclusion: The analysis concluded that there was an influence on the administration of deep transverse friction interventions to decrease neck pain in online motorcycle taxi drivers. And from the results of the analysis and calculation of statistical tests the administration of good deep transverse friction has a 4-fold decrease in neck pain compared with no intervention in deep transverse friction that is not good.
