Abstract

The objective of this study are 1) to know the problem faced by the Indonesian language teacher in SMP Negeri 2 Gatak on the implementation of 2013 curriculum. 2) to know the effort did by the Indonesian language teacher of SMP Negeri 2 Gatak to face the problem on the implementation of curriculum 2013. This research is qualitative research. The data used on this research are the result of interview and documentation get from the observation from source (teacher and principle of SMP Negeri 2 Gatak). The collecting data technique using interview, observation and documentation. The analyzing technique using interactive model of Miles Huberman; data reduction, data display, and conlussion/verification. The result of this research shows that the problem faced by the teacher are the teacher as the teaching learning source, the teacher looks very textual. Teacher as a manager, they are not really able to arrange the class. Teacher as motivator, they only motvate certain students that is not good and the motivation only appears on the final class. The problem on the scientific teaching learning that are some ways that seems not success, such as questioning, and consuming, that because it’s hard to make students more active. The effort did by the Indonesian teacher of SMP 2 Gatak to face the problem on the implementation of 2013 cirriculum such as by following the workshop about education held by school. The problem on arranging the class such as, they can not arrange it better. While arranging the student’s atmosphere, the teacher calling the student’s name when they want them to come in front of the class or when they asked them to make question. Teacher alwas moving and close with the students.
