Abstract

This study aims to describe the teacher's understanding of authentic, the causal factors that are faced with the teacher, the solution made to overcome the difficulties faced by the teacher in implementing authentic assessment in 2013. This study used used qualitative research methods. The research design used in this study is descriptive research. The primary data used in this study are the results of interviews with principals, curriculum officers, grade IV teachers, and observations of experienced assessments, including attitude assessment, knowledge assessment and skills assessment. Principal, the Curriculum Principal, Class IV Teachers. Data collection techniques which are interactive, including interviews, observation, and documentation. The validity technique of this data data uses data source triangulation, and technical triangulation. Data analysis of this study are: 1) The teacher's understanding of authentic assessment, namely the teacher's understanding that is authentic assessment of the form of assessment that began in 2013, where this assessment includes cognitive, affective and psychomotor assessment. 2) The causative factors of difficulties faced by teachers, namely: assessments, students who sometimes do not work and do not collect assignments, the assessment points are too many to spend time. 4) Solutions to overcome the difficulties faced by teachers, namely: asking questions with colleagues and seeking information through the internet, coordinating with parents, attending organized by the school workshops and training.
