Abstract
One of the biological changes that occur in adolescent girls aged 10-16 years is experiencing menstruation. Medically, menstruation is a natural process experienced by women, namely the occurrence of the bleeding process caused by the collapse of the uterine wall as a result of the absence of fertilization. Abdominal pain during menstruation (dysmenorrhoea) that is felt by each woman is different, some are slightly disturbed but some are very disturbed so they cannot carry out daily activities and make them have to rest and even be forced to miss school or work. The purpose of research is Analyzed the relationship between body mass index (BMI) and physical activity with the degree of pain in primary dysmenorrhea in female students at Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen. This research is quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique is purposive sampling, which is as many as 60 respondents. The research measuring instrument uses a body scale (kilograms) and a height measurement using a stature meter. Pain measurement using VAS and assessment of physical activity using IPAQ. The statistical test used is chi square. The results of the chi square test between body mass index and primary dysmenorrhoea pain showed p-value was 0.011. The results of the chi square test between physical activity and the pain of primary dysmenorrhoea showed that the p-value was 0.045. There is a relationship between body mass index (BMI) and physical activity with the degree of pain in primary dysmenorrhea in female students at Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen.
