Abstract

This study aims to reveal the leadership model of Al Kautsar Elementary School Principal in improving quality. By using qualitative research methods. The study was conducted at Al Kautsar IT Elementary School directly by researchers, by direct interviews, observations, recording and recording of important documents. Interviews were conducted with school principals, vice principals and teachers. Observation is done by observing the school environment. 1). In this study a leadership model of the principal who was democratic and transformational was found, giving teachers and employees ample room to demonstrate their potential. 2). The Principal seeks to improve school quality with a variety of strategies, namely building construction, complete and modern sarpras, early student input and human resource development. 3). Principal leadership has a form of support and constraints. This form of support comes from the teacher in the form of the attitude of the teacher who accepts and implements all leadership policies, shows quality performance and contributes creative ideas through. The obstacle faced by the Principal is the problem of teacher discipline and problems originating from the surrounding environment.
