Abstract

Lower back pain is a work-related illness with the highest frequency of occurrence, which is 22% of 1,700,000 cases. Manahan Flyover construction workers at PT Yasa Patria Perekasa has a risk of lower back pain complaints. The purpose of this research was to know their risk factors are associated with lower back pain complaint on construction workers Flyover Manahan in PT Yasa Patria Perkasa. This research method using Cross Sectional. The population of the research include a construction worker Flyover Manahan in PT Yasa Patria Perkasa that add up to 50 people. Sampling method using total sampling. Research instrument is the stopwatch, scales, mikrotoa/height gauge, sheet REBA, and questionnaires. Data obtained in this study with statistical test Chi Square with a significant level of α = 0.05. The results of the analysis of the relationship of each free variable with lower back pain complaints as follows: work load (p value = 0.013), work attitude (p value = 0.000) and IMT (body mass index (p value = 0.361). From the results it can be concluded that the workload and work attitudes there is a connection with the complaints of lower back pain. Whereas IMT (Body Mass Index) has no relationship with complaints of lower back pain. Advice that can be given is to reduce the weight of the load being transported, a 15-minute break after working 2 hours or after doing a heavy job, do health checks, and expect to have an ideal weight.
