Abstract

Computer Vision Syndrome describes a group of eye and vision-related problems that result from prolonged computer, tablet, e-reader and cell phone use. Nearly 60 million people suffer from CVS globally, resulting in reduced productivity at work and reduced quality of life of the computer worker. work and distance of the monitor and the symptoms that often arise from the incidence of Computer Vision Syndrome. This research is an analytic observational study with cross sectional approach. The sample is taken from population that has fulfilled restriction criteria as much as 50 respondents. Sampling technique used purposive sampling. Based on Chi Square data analysis that has been done there is a relationship between the length of work with CVS, the value of p <0.05 is 0.008, while there is no relationship between the distance of the monitor and CVS because the value is p 0.132. There is a relationship between the length of work and the incidence of Computer Vision Syndrom and there is no relationship between the mnitor distance and the incidence of Computer Vision Syndrome.
