Abstract

This study aims to 1) describe the ways of planting character and self-effort of karate extracurricular, 2) describe the obstacles that encourage when implementing the planting of characters and beliefs through karate extracurricular, and 3) describe solutions to overcome these obstacles. This type of research is qualitative. Sources of data in this study are principals, trainers, classroom teachers, and students. research uses data collection techniques, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data in this study is the triangulation of methods and the manipulation of sources. The steps of data analysis are data reduction, data exposure, data presentation, and conclusion reduction. The writer can draw the conclusion that 1) how to instill mistakes and confidence through karate is to use the karate oath reference. Students can apply in everyday life. 2) the obstacle in implementing karate extracurricular activities is that there are still students who do not wear uniforms and do not leave without permission. 3) the solution to overcome it is by giving penalties such as running, push ups, and sit ups.
