Abstract
This study aims to describe: a) planning, b) implementing, and c) evaluating the learning of character-based early childhood education in Makarima Islamic Early Childhood Education Programs. This study uses a qualitative method. Data is collected through interviews, observation and documentation. Data validity through source triangulation. Data were analyzed using interactive analysis models. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Learning planning of character-based early childhood education in Makarima Islamic Early Childhood Education Programs is done by applying Makarima curriculum, that is a combination of the Department curriculum (2013 curriculum) with the institution's curriculum from the Makarima Foundation (Islamic education that teaches murojaah, aqeedah, morals, fiqh, siroh, and tahfidz), preparing RPPH and RPPM, determine the theme and time allocation, and determine the center method or BCCT as a learning method. 2) The learning implementation of character-based early childhood education in Makarima Islamic Early Childhood Education Programs is carried out in three stages: opening activities, core activities, and closing activities. The implementation of the opening activity begins with class arrangement. The teacher prepares the children to line up before the commencement of activities to teach children the character of discipline and say hello to instill the value of respectful character and courtesy. The core activities in early childhood education learning consist of core activities I (Islamic Education) and core activities II (centers) where each core activity consists of environmental footing, footing before playing / scientific, footing when playing, and footing after playing. Core activity II (Sentra) Islam Makarima Early Childhood Education Programs divides the activities carried out into five centers, namely the center of roles, center of beam, preparation centers, life centers, skills and BAC centers / creativity. 3) The learning evaluation of character-based early childhood education learning in Makarima Islamic Early Childhood Education Programs is carried out referring to the Generic Learning Menu Reference. Evaluation of learning conducted at Makarima Islamic Early Childhood Education Programs in the form of observations, anecdotal notes and portfolios.
