Abstract

This study aims to describe the Planting of Religious Characters and Discipline through Morning Tadarus Activities at Musuk State Middle School 2 Musuk Subdistrict, Boyolali District covering implementation, constraints faced, and solutions provided. This study uses a qualitative type, with a case study strategy. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Test the validity of data by triangulating data sources and data collection techniques. Data analysis using interactive analysis techniques through data collection, data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the planting of religical characters and discipline through morning tadarus activities at Boyolali Year 2 Junior High School 2 2018/2019 namely providing information, there were still some students who were late in the activity. Reading the Qur'an together, with the intention that students who have not been able to read Al Quran can understand a little more about the reading. Al-Qur'an reading training according to the law, because not all students read the Qur'an correctly. Give direction to the order, dress modestly, and implement it by being forced. Constraints experienced were that the facilities and infrastructure in the morning tadarus activities were incomplete, the time constraints for implementation, because of activities carried out at the beginning of school hours, and lack of strict sanctions for students who took part in morning activities, lack of motivation and awareness of students to follow the morning session, as well as the difficulty of the teacher in managing and disciplining students. The solution provided is that the school must complete the facilities and infrastructure to support morning activities. Items that are not used should be placed in a warehouse, so as not to interfere with the process of carrying out morning activities. Other teachers who do not have the interest should accompany the students in morning tadarus activities and the school makes strict sanctions and can provide a deterrent effect to students who are truant so that in the future it does not happen again, every teacher who enters the class must remind and provide motivation to students regarding the importance religious character and discipline, because in modern times there are many negative things that can affect the behavior and character of students.
