Abstract

The purpose of this research are: (1) Describe the social background of the culture of My Idiot Brother novel by Agnes Davonar; (2) Describe the elements of the builder of My Idiot Brother's novel by Agnes Davonar; (3) Describe the moral values of Agnes Davonar's novel My Idiot Brother in terms of literary sociology; (4) Describe the implementation of moral teaching analysis on Agnes Davonar's My Idiot Brother novel in terms of sociology of literature as a learning material of Indonesian in high school. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive. The subject of this research is the novel My Idiot Brother by Agnes Davonar. Technique of data collecting is done by using technique of refer and record. The results of the moral values contained in the novel My Idiot Brother Works Agnes Davonar include: (1) moral values of honesty, (2) Authentic Values, (3) Responsible Morals, (4) Moral Self-Reliance, (5) Moral Courage , and (6) Realistic and Critical.
