Abstract

ne of the regencies in Central Java that is beginning to experience development so that improvements are made to existing facilities and infrastructure such as widening the main road by removing road dividers. Road widening is expected to make the traffic smooth and more organized. This research has the objectives, among others: (1) Knowing the impact of relocating locations to street vendors' income along the Lawu road in Karanganyar Regency (2) Knowing the effect of location transfer on the number of street vendors along the Lawu road in Karanganyar Regency. The population is 32 street vendors along Jl. Lawu. Data obtained from this study by interview method using questionnaires. The analysis used is frequency table analysis and cross table analysis. This research shows that the income of street vendors has increased by (50%) because after relocating to a new place with good and previous facilities, the decrease in income was (41%) due to the fact that they were still selling in the old place and customers were reduced due to buying places others and fixed income of (9%) because old customers remain loyal to buy their place. The condition of street vendors after widening the road moved to a trading place (81%) because the location that had previously been displaced by the widening of the road. The driving factors of the merchants moved to sell places because there was no parking lot after the road widening so the traders were forced to move to another place where the consumers usually stopped by the side of the road which used to have a road divider, now they could not park carelessly, then more and more competition of traders who have the same variety of merchandise.
