Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the scientific approach in the learning motivation of students at the Muhammadiyah Elementary School 16 Karangasem. This research is a quantitative research with survey design. This study consisted of independent variables namely the scientific approach and the dependent variable namely learning motivation. The population in this study were all fourth grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 16 Karangasem with a sample of 100 students. Data collection in this study through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The research instrument used was a scientific approach observation sheet, a questionnaire to measure learning motivation and interview guidelines. The data analysis technique uses descriptive statistics. Based on the research that has been done obtained results that: 1) simple linear regression test, proving that the scientific approach has a significant effect on learning motivation of fourth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 16 Karangasem. The sig value of the learning motivation variable = 0.000 <0.05, so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that the applied scientific approach influences student learning motivation, 2) the percentage percentage effect of scientific approach variables on learning motivation variables by analyzing coefficient of determination ( ) is 0.019. it can be interpreted that the magnitude of the influence of the scientific approach to learning motivation is 19%.
