Abstract
This aims of the research was to improve mastery of English vocabulary in children through telling series picture story method in group B at Pertiwi Duwet 2 Wonosari Kindergarten on the academic year of 2017/2018. Type of the research was classroom action research which was held in two cycles. The procedures of the research on every cycle were several stage, which was planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research was collaborative between researcher, classroom teacher and principals. The data were obtained by using observation method, interview and field notes. The subjects of this study were 17 children. Based on the result from cycle action I and II are implemented, showed improvement of mastery of English vocabulary in children group B at Pertiwi Kindergarten. This enhancement was proven by the improvement of mastery of English vocabulary’s percentages in children before action or pre cycle until cycle II, at the time before action or pre cycle of children English vocabulary mastery of children was 45,34%, cycle I became 60,12%, and cycle II reached 81,12%. The conclusion of this research was through series picture method, it could improve mastery of English vocabulary in children group B at Pertiwi Kindergarten Duwet 2 Wonosari on 2017/2018 academic year.
