Abstract
The purpose of this research is to describe whether the role playing method can improve the learning outcomes of fourth graders of SDN 1 Bengking, Jatinom. The type of research used is action research using quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. Data collection techniques used in this study are interviews, observation, tests, and documentation. Validity of data in this study using triangulation of source and triangulation technique. The results of this study indicate that the students' learning outcomes from the grade point average in the pre-cycle of 79.59 not all students reach the KKM and students still lack attention when learning. After the action done on the first cycle the average grade increased to 83.38 some students did not want to play the task given by the teacher well. After an improvement in cycle II, the average student score increased to 84.17 and the remaining cycle has been able to portray their respective tasks well and enthusiastically. Thus, the use of role playing method on thematic learning can improve student learning outcomes of grade IV SDN 1 Bengking, Jatinom
