Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of principals' perceptions of leadership on the performance of kindergarten teachers in Gemolong District in 2018. This type of research is descriptive correlational. The population in this study amounted to 108 teachers and a total sample of 40 teachers. The research sample was taken using purposive propotional random sampling technique. Research data collection uses questionnaires. Data analysis using simple linear regression. Based on the results of data analysis can be obtained the value of the correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.104. Principal's perceptions of leadership with teacher performance have sig values. 0,000 <0,05, then Ho is rejected. The influence of school principals' perceptions on teacher performance is 1.1%, while the rest is 98.9%. The results of this study are that there is an influence between perceptions of principals' leadership and teacher performance.
