Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the improvement of students’ learning activity and to describe the improvement of students’ learning outcome in using learning media based on Adobe Flash CS6 interactive module than using conventional learning in adjusting journal entry material of X grade in Public Vocational School 1 Boyolali. The research methodology used was quasi experiment method with pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this research was X grade students of public vocational school 1 Boyolali. The sampling was using purposive sampling technique with XAK3 as experiment class and XAK1 as control class. The data collection technique was using observation, test, and documentation. The analysis technique used to test the research result was independent sample t-test. The research result indicate that (1) There is a different in students’ learning activity using learning media based on Adobe Flash CS6 interactive module and using conventional learning. This was proofed by the t test result which shown a significant value of 12.888> = 1.994 with a significance level of 5%. Increasing the activity of student learning lies in the average score of the experimental class 51.42, while the control class was 40.3. (2) There were differences in student learning outcomes in learning using Adobe Flash CS6 interactive module-based learning media compared to conventional learning. This was proofed by the t test result which shown the significant value of 14.254> = 1.994 with the significance level of 5%. The improvement of student learning outcomes lies in the average experimental class 89.72, while the control class is 71.25. The gain score of experimental class was in the high category while the control class was in the medium category.
