Abstract

UD Setyo Nugroho is the one of small industries that processed turmeric found in wonogiri. There’s a problem in the process, there is the process of washing turmeric manually. It feels uneffective and not efficient because need more time to wash and the result is doesn’t clean. The goals of this research is to design the washing turmeric to make time and the result more effective and efficient. This design used branchmarking method. This washing turmeric have a max capacity which is 5 kg, it will be designed with motor with energy (1/4 Hp), spin axis (400rpm), total dimension 8x6x9 mm with heavy +- 20kg. with this design can make time more effective 10 kg in 15 minutes to be 6.9 minutes with the result more clean than before
