Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) Analyze and test the TPS & NHT models of students' mathematics learning outcomes. (2) Analyze and test students 'interest in learning mathematics outcomes (3) Analyze and test the interaction between TPS & NHT models and students' learning interest in mathematics learning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental research design. The study population was 183 student VII grades of Muhammadiyah 1 Junior High School Surakarta. Samples taken were 3 classes using cluster random sampling, first class with TPS models, second class with NHT models, and third class with conventional models. Data collection techniques with test methods, questionnaires and documentation. The analysis technique used is two-way variance analysis with unequal cells. Based on the results of the study with a significance level of 5%, obtained: (1) There are differences in mathematics learning outcomes between TPS, NHT and conventional learning models, NHT is better than conventional, NHT and TPS have the same results and TPS has the same results as conventional ( 2) There are differences in mathematics learning outcomes in terms of student interest. Students with learning interest are as good as students with high learning interest while students with moderate learning interest are better than students with low learning interest, and students with high learning interest are the same as students with low learning interest (3) There is no interaction between learning models (TPS, NHT and conventional) with students' learning interest in mathematics learning outcomes.
