Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) the structure of the short story builder in a collection of short stories Teman Duduk by Daoed Joesoef (2) the value of education found in the collection of Teman Duduk short stories by Daoed Joesoef and (3) its implementation as a teaching material in high school. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. This research data is in the form of sentences and paragraphs that contain the value of education. The source of this research data is the book of short stories by Teman Duduk by Daoed Joesoef. Data collection techniques using literature study, see, note and interview. Data analysis uses dialectic techniques. To test the validity of the data the researcher used data triangulation techniques and theory triangulation. The results of the study show (1) the structure of the short stories in the collection of short stories, Teman Duduk namely the themes and facts of the story (2) the educational values contained in the collection of Teman Duduk short stories: the value of social education, the value of moral education, the value of religious education. (3) implementation as teaching material in accordance with three aspects, namely aspects of language, psychological aspects and aspects of cultural background.
