Abstract
This study aims to describe the metacognition of FKIP Mathematics Education UMS students in problem solving on field and ball in analytical geometry courses reviewed from DISC personality type. Research subjects were taken by one student from each type of DISC personality type who previously conducted interviews to the lecturer to recommend. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, tests, think aloud, field notes, video recording and interviews. The validity of data is done by using content validity and method triangulation. Content validity is used for controlling whether the data already includes everything needed or not, while triangulation of methods is used to obtain different results by the same retrieval method. Data analysis techniques with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. For metacognition knowledge SD can fill all of indicators (eight indicators), SS and SC seven indicators, and SI six indicators. While metacognition skills are SS with eight indicarors, SI seven indicators, SD six indicators, and SC five indicators.
